Personal:

My major is Communications. I'm not 100% sure where I want to take my academic career yet. Fortunately, Communications lets me explore lots of different areas of interest. I truly believe in the value of a Liberal Arts education and I feel that this major allows me to carry out this education in the most effective and engaging way. It's my goal to participate in Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Educators (ACE) program. This is a program that would allow me to teach in underprivileged schools around the country. After that... endless possibilities.

I chose St. John’s because the opportunities are unlike any others. Here at St. John's, I'm able to compete in track & cross country, sing in a choir, be a part of a leadership program, and grow in my faith. Everything I looked for in a college, I found here at SJU.

One of the funniest memories from my track career is from high school. I had a teammate in high school I always held blocks for every race. Whenever the starter would give his commands I'd say "yes chef, right away chef." That was just our thing. That became a team motto and everyone would just say "yes chef" all the time. It was incredible.

Q & A:

Q: Which coach would you pick to live on a deserted island with and why?

A: This is a really difficult question, but it has got to be Tim Miles. I'm telling you, there's no way we're getting off that island! However, Tim's stories would keep me entertained plenty.

Q: If you were in the coliseum and were challenged to fight wiener dogs, what is the highest number of wiener dogs you could defeat?

A: This is morally challenging, I would never willingly defeat wiener dogs. However, if I had to; easily 48.

Q: Would you rather be the world's greatest racquetball player or have $20 right now?

A: Racquetball. Having great obscure talents is a beautiful thing. I can already picture myself participating in an intramural team and working my way up to Olympic competition. Would I make $20 being an amateur Racquetball god? No, but it's worth it.
