Personal:

My proudest moment was when I beat a national Champion (Ryan Bugler) in the steeplechase. He dropped out from food poisoning. But in reality, Cross Country regions senior year at SJU, where I watched 3 of my teammates finish a few seconds ahead of me. It was cool to see us all finish so close together and was a real team effort.

I am majoring in Political Science. Political Science was just the major at SJU that interested me the most. I will likely go into a field that involves working with kids. I would like to get into coaching with a high school Cross Country team and find a job that helps others. I've been very interested in social justice, specifically involving race.

I chose St. John’s because I'm the type of person that would have been happy at most schools, so after I visited any school it was my favorite until the next school I visited. I visited Saint John's last. To be clear, I'm very glad I chose Saint John's.

The funniest moment was one day at practice, the world renowned distance coach Tim Miles was coaching his butt off. While coaching his butt off, he noticed a young Tremayne Collins casually adding a mile onto his run as the weather was quite frightful outside. Tim decided that in order to coach his butt off he was required to get down on his hands and knees and scream at Tre to go faster at the top of his lungs while pounding his hands on the ground.

Q & A:

Q: Which coach would you pick to live on a deserted island with and why?

A: Any coach but the world renowned distance coach Tim Miles. I've heard all his stories.

Q: If you were in the coliseum and were challenged to fight wiener dogs, what is the highest number of wiener dogs you could defeat?

A: 42. It was simply the first number to come to my head, I'm not sure I actually believe that number.

Q: Would you rather be the world's greatest racquetball player or have $20 right now?

A: World greatest racquetball player in a heartbeat. I've done my research and the world’s best racquetball player makes approximately 300,000 dollars a year. Much higher than 20 dollars right now.
